Camera monitor systems (CMS) have been permitted as a replacement for conventional mirrors since July 2016. KMS offer several advantages:
They reduce air resistance, always show clear viewing areas without glare or light reflections, and they enable additional functions, such as
auxiliary lines in the display image.

The SideVis mirror replacement system was developed and type-approved in accordance with UN regulation R46.
